CRANK YANKERS TRAILER

THE CALL

As a new season approached, Comedy Central was bringing Crank Yankers back. With the team at Comedy Central, we created a trailer that teased each character, focused on close-up details, and played the audio clips from the show. 

THE APPROACH

To tease each character, the team recreated in detail each puppet’s recognizable traits, such as Bobby Fletcher’s beer hat and Spoonie Luv’s gold chain. From stitching together the fleece like material to threading a mustache, we showcase the puppets, as the characters were back!

MY ROLE

I art directed the project throughout the design, animation, 3D, and comp phases. With 3D support, I comped and designed to get looks and sequences approved and into production. A precise eye focused on lighting and texturing was important, as we were focused on details like the fleece.

THE END RESULT

The team at We Are Royale was exceptional. Working with puppets on a trailer with amazing voice talent like Jimmy Kimmel, Tracy Morgan, Tiffany Haddish, and Dimitri Martin, made the project a ton of fun. In addition to that, the trailer hit over half a millions views and more.
